Chef Val M. Cantu of Californios Restaurant and Erin have been collaborating together since 2018. Californios has earned two Michelin Stars for Val’s creative menu that is part Mexican, part Californian and totally seasonal. The first collection Erin made was geometric Ink and Alabaster taco plates, made to order so that they perfectly fit everything from Val’s infladita to his handmade blue-corn tortillas. Californios also features Ink broth bowls that hold grilled baby banana with savory caramel and cold-smoked caviar; Ink Moon Chargers with a subtle glazing pattern reminiscent of the Californios logo, and Ink Texture dishes which hold Pastry Chef Sophie Hau’s artistic chocolate bon bons.

Nightbird

Erin and Chef Kim Alter work together together to design many forms for Chef Kim’s San Francisco restaurant Nightbird. Her extraordinary menu showcases her commitment to technique, whole animal cookery and support of local farms. When plated, ceramic and culinary art come together to create a feast of the senses. Diners can see, feel, smell and taste the final art piece. Nightbird has an array of Erin’s custom ceramics, from Ink texture drop Rim Plates to a set of reveal dishes which hide Chef’s amuse bouche.

Erin collaborated with Chef Harrison Cheney of Sons & Daughters on three collections of ceramics which can be experienced in their welcoming San Francisco dining room. Chef Harrison’s cooking is inspired by new nordic cuisine and rooted in classical cooking techniques – high acid, fish-focused, preserved, and sustainable. To this end, Erin designed minimal forms featuring bare clay, alabaster and textured glazes to feature Chef Harrison’s dishes.

Erin collaborated with Chef Kristina Liedags Compton and Interior Designer Noz Nozawa to create signature ceramic forms for the restaurant Hilda and Jesse, which is known for its fun, luxury brunch. Erin’s pink + ruby red small plates hold Chef Kristina’s small bites. Her alabaster and lilac plates were designed to emulate the syrup in Chef Kristina’s Pancakes Without Boundaries — a stack of extra-puffed buttermilk pancakes topped with signature grilled-fruit syrups.

Erin works with chiefs Nate Tauer, Philip Frankland Lee and Margaritas Kallas-Lee for both Pasta Bar LA and Pasta Bar Austin. Pasta Bar LA earned its first Michelin star in 2021 for a mastery of California’s natural bounty, and features many of Erin’s collections from Ink Splatter bowls to Ink Texture cushion caviar dessert plates
